There are so many benefits to yoga, and the younger you start, the better!
Yoga can help to improve concentration, balance and strength; it can help with your child's body awareness and help them to cope with emotions and promote self esteem.
Yoga can be both energising and calming, giving children the opportunity to feel wide awake and full of energy, but also allowing them the space to relax, unwind and calm their minds.
Having two young children, I can see the benefits that yoga offers them and when we practice yoga together at home, there are lots of giggles but also a beautiful quiet time at the end.
Yoga for Kids classes with Laura’s Therapies
I offer classes to Early Years settings (ages 2-5 years). Alongside fun postures, often with a theme (e.g. pets, safari, holidays), we enjoy moments of calm and stillness in our sessions through relaxation and breath work. The classes are around 30 minutes long. They can be a nice way to start a day, bringing the children into a relaxed state, or a lovely way to finish the day, and wind down before they leave.
